Brag Book

As per the ASCA standard for this breed, "The Australian Shepherd is an intelligent, primarily working dog of strong herding and guardian instincts". Lots of people interpret this standard many different ways but what it breaks down to is that the Aussie is a wonderful breed to share your life with but it's NOT for everyone. The intelligence and devotion of this breed can be overwhelming if you're looking for a strictly laid-back couch potato or a dog you can keep 'out back'.

I've put pictures below showing what some of our dogs are capable of doing-which is anything/everything you ask them to do. They may be channeled into one specific dog sport, but they are still capable of mastering others. Enjoy the show!

TRACY'S FAIR DINKUM BOOM-R, AKC/ASCA CDX
As the titles after his name imply, Boom-R is a terrific obedience dog. I started him too late in life to go on with Utility in obedience, but he had the will (If not the way)for doing it.

Jem is a Boom-R and Dolly daughter and even out did her old man in obedience by getting HIT.


AKC CH SANKANO-IMAGE TAKAPOWDR BLU Powdr can go from show dog to herding dog to laid-back grooming dog. LOL Powdr has a wonderful temperament and attitude for doing anything you ask of him.


IMAGE OF MAYAN TREASURE, CGC Maya is a Boom-R and Skye daughter and is adored by her family in NJ. She has shown wonderful instinct for working stock as well as great ability in Agility.

Ranger is the boy on the left in the picture. He's owned by a wonderful young lady in WVA that has quite a hike to the mailbox. Ranger and his pal Dolly are not only beloved members of her family, but they and the wagon they pull help with getting the mail, clearing the property and might even get to be in a local parade some day!


IMAGE OF SWEET DELIGHT, OA, OAJ Sugar is Ranger's littermate sister and just loves agility! You can see the determination and enjoyment she has competing in this sport from the pictures above. Her owner and I are both VERY proud of this girl who now has a wall full of ribbons and intends on continuing to collect them!


IMAGE OPALESCENT PARTAY Whether rooting for (?) in the mud or posing for a family portrait with her 'boys', Opal is the true, faithful family aussie. She's the hit of the neighborhood and her boys' school, the contsant buddy of her human family, and is what this breed is all about!



IMAGE'S KICKED UP A NOTCH, CGC, U-AGI, U-AGII, OA, OAJ, OAC, NGC, NJC, RS-O, GS-N, JS-N 'Sir Thomas' is a wonderful representative of this breed! Not only is he forging ahead with lots of agility titles, but he's used in his classes as a 'demo' dog and known by most people in the Richmond area of Virginia. I'm EXTREMELY proud of Thomas and his owner, Susan. They've become the dynamic duo of agility and ambassadorship for the breed.
