Our
'Grand Ole' Man' cat passed over rainbow bridge on 01/11/01.
'Chuck' (as he was also known as) was a very unusual animal with
almost no typical characteristics of most cats. He helped
raise all the young puppies around here, would discipline them
without ever putting his claws out, and had a 'Dirty Harry' attitude
(make my day) at all times.
He
also had a marvelous sense of humor, although Boom-R never seemed
to think so since it was usually directed at him! When training
Boom-R for his CDX, we worked every day on his high jump with
and without retrieving the dumbell. With, Charlie Bear would
lay in wait somewhere in longer grass and pounce on the dumbell
before Boom-R could get to it! Without, Charlie would hide
on the other side of the high jump and leap up at Boom-R as he
was sailing over the jump, scaring him all the time! LOL
Anytime
you were outside doing chores, walking to the mailbox, even taking
the dogs for walks in the horse pasture, Charlie was always there
with you. He loved company!
There
is now a big void in our household and on our property that will
never be filled again. He was an older cat when he passed
and it might've been his time but it's still so hard to those
of us left behind without his company!
Keep
everyone in line like you usually do, Chuck! We'll see you
soon!
